Lancashire Vs. Nottinghamshire FLT20.

Notts win despite McClenaghan five-wicket haul.

Mitch McClenaghan's figures of 5-29
were a personal best.

Lancashire suffered their first defeat in the twenty-over campaign, as Nottinghamshire outlaws cruised to a four-wicket victory with 14 balls to spare. Mitch McClenaghan's figures of 5-29, a personal best in this format, proved to be insufficient, with the visitors incredible batting line-up reaching an inevitable victory.

After managing 75 in the last match, Lancashire were disappointed when Stephen Moore fell for a solitary run, as he was run out. Ashwell Prince shortly followed his opening partner, as the former Lancashire players, Ajmal Shahzad and Steven Mullaney teamed-up.

Now 33-2, the hosts were in need of respite, and a 93-run partnership between Steven Croft and Simon Katich (48) re-cooperated back to a respectable position. Croft's 52 proved to be the highest score of the innings and after the third-wicket stand was broken the innings limped towards a par score.

Closing on 155-6, Lancashire had given themselves something to bowl at, but the immense quality and depth of the Outlaws line-up would prove to be superior. England international batsmen paved
the response, with Alex Hales and Michael Lumb opening the innings.

The former made 49 from just 37 balls before he was out to McClenaghan, who had already claimed three of Nottinghamshire's wickets. But the visitors continued to score to quickly, with captain David Hussey leading the response with 52 from 28 balls.
