Lancashire Lightning's NatWest T20 Blast match against Northamptonshire Steelbacks was abandoned without a ball being bowled at Emirates Old Trafford.
The game, which was due to start at 6.30pm, was abandoned 20 minutes before the scheduled start time, after a deluge of rain left the outfield covered in water. The washout leaves Lancashire stranded in the middle of the North Group, having played the most games (6) of any side in their group.
Northants remain in a healthy position, having won three of their four matches before today, with Lancashire's next Twenty20 match coming against Birmingham Bears at Edgbaston on Sunday.
Lancashire's last trip to Edgbaston in the shortest format saw the Red Rose lift their first piece of one-day silverware since 1999, when they beat Northants in the final by 13 runs.
